More Light, Less Spill: Lighting Solution for Ashurst Park
Pure collaborated with Hamilton City Council to upgrade the lighting at 19 fields across seven parks throughout Hamilton, including KoriKori, Ashurst, Gower, Flynn, Galloway, Porritt, and Enderley. Our team provided a full turn-key solution, managing every stage of the project – from initial design and planning to the final installation – offering a seamless experience for the council and the community.
Ashurst Park is a multi-use venue catering to football, rugby, and cricket. This project presented a unique challenge due to the park’s proximity to residential boundaries and its orientation, requiring a carefully considered lighting solution to minimize light spill. We designed the lighting to deliver 100 lux, ideal for training sessions, and installed Legacy Invictus Floodlights on 10 poles strategically placed around the park to provide optimal coverage while minimising impact on neighbouring properties.
